Without a doubt, if you’ve ever been into an Albertsons or a Vons supermarket, you have seen these humongous “Redbox” kiosks out front. Redbox is a company that offers DVD rentals for about $1 per day (its like, $1.09 with tax…). Ideally, they place these kiosks in supermarkets so that busy housewives or moms could pick up a movie for the family to watch after dinner. You can check out brand new releases at the website: redbox.com. They’re pretty good about getting movies the day AFTER they’re released; presumably because someone probably has to go the kiosk to fill it up with new DVDs. You can even see if your movie is in and reserve it for pick up at a later date on the website as well.
In order to entice customers to rent from them, Redbox gives out free promotional codes to urge people to rent DVDs. Most often, these codes are for…you guessed it…free rentals. In fact, every monday they give out free codes for Free Movie Monday (codes expire on monday as well). The way redbox works is, you go up to a kiosk, click on “Rent with Promo Code” at which time it will prompt you for a code. Type it in and rent accordingly. Its going to ask you to swipe a credit card or a debit card (in the untimely event that you do not ever return the DVD), but it will NOT charge you for the rental. Here are some promotional codes that have not expired. I dont think they ever will; these codes are used for the sole purpose of getting new customers.
DVDONME
REDBOX
BREAKROOM
You can use these codes once per card. So, if you’re a credit whore like myself and carry anywhere near 5-7 credit cards; thats like a whole month of movies…gratis. The movie is free until 9 pm (21:00) the next day, after that it will charge you $1.09 a day. After 25 days, the movie is free for you to keep. I’ll occasionally post some codes on here and you can find more promotional codes at: InsideRedbox. Talk about life hack. Have these codes worked/not worked for you?
